Abstract | 2 Nephi 29 speaks of the testimony of two nations running together to establish the truth of God's words to his children. This naturally calls to mind the passages in Ezekiel 37 that speak of the two sticks (the stick of Judah and the stick of Ephraim) that are brought together as one in God's hand. Traditional Latter-day Saint interpretation of Ezekiel 37 has identified the Bible and the Book of Mormon as the sticks of Judah and Ephraim, respectively, but a careful reading of this passage and related scriptures reveals a much more complex and nuanced picture. |
