Abstract | The loss of the 116 manuscript pages of the Book of Mormon is remember by Latter-day Saints as a great tragedy; the sad result of disobedience to the Lord's commandments. But while the story of the loss of the 116 pages does warn us about the dangers of disobedience, it also provides a lesson on the nature and importance repentance. This account, when read in a larger context, ultimately offers modern Saints a glimpse at the hope and peace that comes from heartfelt repentance. |
