The Book of Mormon describes a "land of promise" given to Lehi and his posterity by the Lord. Many have wondered where this land of promise might be physically located in the Americas. Historically, Latter-day Saint leaders have identified the range of North and South America as the land of promise, as well as the land of Zion. But more important than where the land of promise might be are the covenantal conditions that come attached to inheriting it and becoming a Zion people.
