Abstract | Because the Book of Mormon mentions highways, readers may wonder if the remains of prominent ancient roads have been discovered in the Americas. Notable systems of highways were indeed constructed by several ancient American societies, and their remains have long been studied by archaeologists. The ancient Maya, in particular, constructed and used highways in a manner that fits the form and function of highways in the Book of Mormon. |
