Abstract

Wade E. Miller, Ph.D., is an emeritus professor of Paleontology and Geology at Brigham Young University (BYU). His fascinating insights into the Book of Mormon make this a must have book for every LDS family library. Numerous books have been written on various aspects of the Book of Mormon, including a few which touch on matters relating to science. However, none of these books includes the depth on the animals that are given in the present book. The present book shows that horses, elephants, and a variety of other animals listed in the Book of Mormon were indeed in America. These are animals mentioned that critics say were not in the New World before Columbus arrived here. The same holds true for iron and steel, linen and silk, wheat and barley. Those who would disparage the Book of Mormon say that these items were absolutely not in what is now America before 1492. “Science and the Book of Mormon” contains many references which support that all these animals and items were indeed here before Columbus.
