"In baptism, the priesthood holder helps the individual down into the water, and emerses them completely. The priesthood holder then assists them back out of the water. Just as the priesthood holder representing Christ in this symbolic view of the death and renewal of the body, Christ's presence in our death and resurrection can be seen. His comfort and grace carries us through the transition, and he will also lift us from our sleep into our new life. Not once is his grip loosened or removed; he will ensure our safe departure, and our welcomed return. He does not leave us.
Portraying this in the form of baptism, I attempted to convey this covenant with a new perspective, with the rising to the surface being a celestial event as both the rebirth of the new man in baptism, and the resurrection of man in the life to come."
