Abstract | The architecture of towers in the Book of Mormon may have been influenced by Old World structures such as the Tower of Babel. The idea that elevation was sacred is seen in the towers of Nephi, King Benjamin, and the Zoramites, but the towers may also have had political significance. Includes photos of Mesoamerican structures that could be interpreted as towers. |
