Abstract

This piece was an entry in the 2019 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest.

"In the piece we can see Alma and his three children, Helaman, Shiblon and Corianton. I drew them while young illustrating their growth and progress due to the example of their faithful father. It is a scene that could be any day in their daily life.

In the Book of Mormon we can learn that Alma always cared to instruct his three children wisely, and to instill in them the love for God and missionary activity. I imagine that from tiny children this loving father was guiding them, but in the end, as the story shows us, they made their own decisions, Helaman and Shiblon are very well spoken, exemplary children, but Corianton was rebellious at some time, spite of that, Alma was always there to reprimand and guide him, we can see that Corianton repents and returns to the path of God, because he always had his father's teachings rooted in his self."
